“Culture and traditions are important facets of tourism in the Yukon.” said the Honourable Leona Aglukkaq, Minister Responsible for the North and Minister of Health. “The Vuntut Gwichin and Ross River Dena Council and l’Association Franco-Yukonnaise are identifying new ways to attract new tourism to Yukon. This is important in growing the territory’s economy and creating new jobs.”
CanNor will provide the following investments over two years:

Funding for l’Association Franco-Yukonnaise project is being provided by CanNor’s Strategic Investments in Northern Economic Development (SINED) program, which focuses on long-term economic growth, economic diversification and capacity building in all three territories. SINED and CEOP are two of several economic development programs within CanNor which is responsible for coordinating and delivering Canada’s economic development across the North, and for related policy development, research and advocacy.
